CHO-K1/CD200 R1 Stable Cell Line

Figure 1. FACS analysis of cell surface expression of human CD200 R1 on CHO-K1/CD200 R1 cells. The CHO-K1/CD200 R1 cells (blue) and the negative control CHO-K1 cells (red) were probed using PE-conjugated CD200 receptor antibody (Cat. No. 12-9201, Invitrogen).

CHO-K1/CD200 R1 Stable Cell Line

Cell surface glycoprotein CD200 receptor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CD200R1 gene. This gene encodes a receptor for the OX-2 membrane glycoprotein. Both the receptor and substrate are cell surface glycoproteins containing two immunoglobulin-like domains. This receptor is restricted to the surfaces of myeloid lineage cells and the receptor-substrate interaction may function as a myeloid downregulatory signal. Mouse studies of a related gene suggest that this interaction may control myeloid function in a tissue-specific manner.

Product Description Recombinant CHO-K1 cells stably overexpress human CD200 R1 on the surface. The surface expression of CD200 R1 is validated by FACS analysis. This cell line is recommended for cell-based binding assay to screen antibodies against CD200 R1 or to measure binding affinity between CD200 R1 and anti-CD200 R1 antibodies.
Culture Properties Adherent.
Stability Stable through more than 16 passages without significant changes in assay performance or expression profile.
Size Two vials of frozen cells (>1×106 per vial in 1 mL).
Storage Store cells in liquid nitrogen immediately upon receipt. Thaw and recover cells within one year from the date received.

Culture Medium Ham’s F-12K (Kaighn’s), 10% FBS, 6 μg/ml Puromycin (Cat. No. A11138-03, Life Technologies).
Complete Growth Medium Ham’s F-12K (Kaighn’s) (Cat. No. 21127-022, Life Technologies), 10% FBS (Cat. No. 10099-141, Life Technologies)
Freeze Medium-DATA 95% complete growth medium, 5% (V/V) DMSO (Cat. No. D2650, Sigma)
