A Novel Role for Necroptosis in the Pathogenesis of Necrotizing Enterocolitis

Gels were blotted on transfer membranes (Immobilon-P, Cat #IPVH00010), blocked with 4% BSA in TBST, and probed with the following primary antibodies: anti-RIPK1 (Novus Biologicals, NBP1-45841), anti-RIP3 (phospho S232) (Abcam, ab195117), antiMLKL (phosphor S345) (Abcam, ab196436). HRP-conjugated antibodies used include goat anti-rabbit IgG (HL)-HRP conjugate (Bio Rad, 170-6515) and THE beta actin antibody (GenScript, A00730).
Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a devastating disease of premature infants characterized by Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-dependent intestinal inflammation and enterocyte death.
